Real GPS Chase

Zombies spawn around your actual position and move toward you at walk (1 m/s), jog (2 m/s), and run (3.75 m/s) speeds. The distances are real.

Audio-First

Groans, growls, and short callouts tell you where the danger is, so you can keep your eyes up and actually run.

Swing to Fight

A zombie that closes the distance can be swung down with the phone in your hand. Clear some space first.

How It Works

  1. Get a GPS fix.
  2. A safe zone gets picked at a random nearby real place.
  3. The first wave of zombies spawns 100 to 200 meters out.
  4. Run.
  5. Hold the safe zone for 15 seconds to earn a 60-second respite.
  6. Survive the timer, or make it home.

Home is a permanent safe zone once you set it, on top of the random safe zone picked each session. Inside its 25 m ring the zombies wait at the edge and the timer pauses, and a run started at home doesn't begin until you're out the door. Sessions run 8 to 15 minutes. This is Phase 1: the chase runs in your phone's browser, and it's still rough around the edges.

Zombie Tiers

Speeds are anchored to a real human pace, so the difficulty is honest.

TierSpeedWhat escapes it
Shambler1.0 m/sA brisk walk gets you clear.
Walker2.0 m/sYou have to jog.
Runner3.75 m/sYou have to run, and most people can't hold that pace more than two or three minutes.

Ten levels, each one a full session. Level 1 is mostly Shamblers; level 10 mixes in Runners at a genuine sprint.

Mission FAQ

Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. It needs HTTPS and a motion permission prompt you tap once at the start. There's no haptic buzz on iOS Safari, so a swing still lands, you just won't feel it.
Does it track me?
Your location stays on your phone. Finding a safe zone sends only a rough position to OpenStreetMap's Overpass API and the OSRM routing demo to find a nearby real place and check the walking route. Nothing is stored on a server, and your home location is saved only on your phone.
Can I play at night or indoors?
Night is fine, the game is built to be played by ear more than by screen. Indoors, GPS accuracy drops and the chase won't track well, so it's really meant for outdoor sessions.
Does it need the screen on?
Yes, for Phase 1. The game uses a wake lock to keep the screen on during a session so location tracking doesn't pause.
Is it free?
Yes. Free, no download, no account, no ads.
